I feel like a proud mama. I remember finding Myka Relocate as an unsigned band and featuring them on the site I was writing for at the time. Look at how far these boys have come! Surely you’ve been hearing some buzz surrounding their latest effort, ‘The Young Souls,’ and if that hasn’t convinced you to give it a listen, read on and let me take care of that.

‘The Young Souls’ is heavy. I hope you’re ready for it. John Ritter puts in some serious work on those screams. The selection of clean vocals is 100% on point, choosing verses and chorus that can and will get stuck in your head. That’s not a bad thing either, they just happen to provide strong messages that everyone needs to pay attention to. Every song has a message that fans can relate to. It really is written by and for ‘Young Souls’. These songs touch on broken trust, feeling lost, and letting go of negative people in your life, realizing you’re strong enough to move on.

It’s one of my recommended tracks for a reason. If you could only listen to one song on this album, make it ‘Nerve’. This song is so well written, from beginning to end. The lyrics from this song make up most of my favorite lines from the album as a whole.

On that note, I want to say it was hard to pick just three recommended tracks. I sat down and listened to the album front to back three times in a row, each time writing my list of three and each time my choices being slightly different.

Which tracks are your favorite? Which lyrics are you favorite? Let’s get the comments going!
