Abandon All Ships Break Up, But Not Before One Last Party!

Sometimes It’s Better To Jump Ship, Than To Sink

The  Canadian hardcore scene and fan girls alike faced a devastating tragedy this afternoon when Toronto-based band Abandon All Ships announced their breakup online. After 8 years of playing music together and flipping the hardcore music world upside down with their euro-trance influence, the band decided to call it quits.

After nearly a decade together, Abandon All Ships have released three albums, all through Rise/Velocity Records; have been on countless headlining tours across Canada, the US and Europe; they’ve been featured on MuchMusic’s Disband; and also won a MuchMusic Video Award in 2011.

The Canadian electro-hardcore band will be playing a final farewell show on September 25th 2014 in their hometown of Toronto, ON, at the Virgin Mobile Mod Club, and Remember MEdia will be sure to be there.

Here’s the bands statement on the breakup :

“We’d like to start this off with a thank you. Thank you to our fans, friends, and family for the last 8 years. After many ups and downs, good times and bad, it’s time that Abandon All Ships comes to an end. There’s no hard feelings or inner turmoil, it’s just time that we all move on to the next chapter of our lives.

We’d also like to say thank you to Velocity/Rise Records, The Agency Group, Avocado Booking, Redfield Records, Go With Me Records, Underground Operations, and our management teams at Artery Foundation & Cloud Empire. Without you, this could have never happened.

We’ve launched a discount merch store for those who’ve wanted to pick up something on the last few tours but didn’t have the cash night of, that can be checked out here: http://abandonallshipsmerch.storenvy.com/

We’ll be playing one last show in our hometown (Toronto, Ontario. Canada) on Sept 25th. We hope you can make it.”
