I never thought I would say I’ve photographed a man who later tried hiring a hitman to kill his wife…well….uh….
If your just tuning in now, here’s a little catch up to the story seems so far fetched, it’s hard to believe it’s real at all. Good ol’ Christian metal superstar Tim Lambesis and wife adopt 3 children from Ethiopia. Said rockstar starts to feel insecure about his relationship, and in turn himself, starts hitting the gym, the ‘roids, and other woman. Grows huge ego, becomes an atheist, starts a satanic band and eventually divorces his wife of 8 years via phone call and follow up email. Something is going on here. Be it the “roid rage”, fear of losing 60% of all he’s worked for, or losing rights to see his own children, there are many speculations as to why, but the point is: he unknowingly tries hiring an undercover cop to fix the situation by killing his wife.
“Just over a year ago the metalcore community was completely stunned as news broke that grammy-nominated Christian idol Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying was being arrested for attempting to hire a hitman to kill his wife.”
Since that fateful day where Lambesis was surrounded by armed officers outside a Barnes & Noble, he has remained silent, spending his days tethered to close to home via ankle monitor. Despite being offered large sums of money from various movie producers for exclusive rights to his story, Lambesis chose to share his story in both an upcoming not-for-profit documentary (perhaps to save any bit of decency left to his name) and with the scene’s forefront media source Alternative Press’ Ryan J. Downey.
You can read the ONLY interview with Tim Lambesis here on Altpress.com.
Lambesis has been charged with 6 years for the Solicitation Of Another To Commit Murder, he will receive 48 days credit for his time already served, and will return to court to face a civil suit from ex-wife Meggan, who is looking for $2 million in damages for emotional distress, medical expenses, and legal fees. Fair enough, he did try to have her offed after all.
