It’s been ten years since “Miserable At Best” left us all heart broken for the first time, and in true emo fashion, an anniversary celebration to mourn was necessary. We took out our eyeliner, donned on our best band tees and hit the road. Downtown Disney served as a good home for the House of Blues for many years, but as it grew it had to be relocated. Everyone took a break from playing Pokemon Go to come check out the Back To Basics Tour as it ventured up north into Canada-land.
After choosing to relocate the show from the original venue to a smaller more intimate location, the Biltmore Cabaret was decided upon. The dark and cozy venue, despite it’s size and unassuming nature has played host to some of the biggest talent to come through Vancouver, and tonight was no different, the Biltmore was about to explode with some of the genre’s heaviest hitters.

The Summer Set are stealing hearts everywhere, and after weeks of new tracks and music videos, the album Stories For Monday has finally been released and on Friday April 1st of all days- if this is a joke it’s the best joke ever! After a well needed break they’re back and ready to conquer the world, going full blast with a new album, new tour, and new music videos galore. (Studying video production myself, I know that often an entire day goes into shooting a mere minute or two of video! That’s got to be keeping The Summer Set real busy!) Legendary made us all want to pick up and take a road trip, but Stories For Monday is here to remind us that that road trip never has to end. Life, after all is our greatest adventure.
