The Rocket Summer Celebrates 10 Years Of “Do You Feel” With An Anniversary Tour

With summer just around the corner can you think of a better way spend a warm, ocean-kissed evening than with Bryce Avary and The Rocket Summer?

It’s been a short 10 years since The Rocket Summer launched onto the scene with his first major label release “Do You Feel” which warmed our hearts, and offered a soundtrack to our summer romances. In celebration of this powerpop success The Rocket Summer is heading out on an extensive North American Tour, where Avery will play “Do You Feel” in it’s entirety as well as faves from “Hello, Good Friend“, “Of Men And Angels“, “Calandar Days“, “Life Will Write The Words” and “Zoetic” as well as shhhhhhh… some new material he’s working on.

Venue: The House of Blues
City: Anaheim, CA, USA
Highlight: Acoustic performance of “Miserable at Best”, “Terrible Things”, and Cover of “Yesterday” by The Beatles.

It’s been ten years since “Miserable At Best” left us all heart broken for the first time, and in true emo fashion, an anniversary celebration to mourn was necessary. We took out our eyeliner, donned on our best band tees and hit the road.  Downtown Disney served as a good home for the House of Blues for many years, but as it grew it had to be relocated. HOB is now found at the Anaheim Gardenwalk. Continue reading

Talk about two goods making a better!

Rock icons No Doubt have decided to move on without their country-boy-loving, reality-tv-hosting, iconic blonde frontwoman Gwen Stefani and have since recruited…. well quite the opposite.

Davey Havok, who will forever be in our hearts as the powerful, gothic frontman of AFI will now be leading this new collab under the name DREAMCAR.

Date: October 20 – November 4, 2016

Last month I had the pleasure of going out on tour with The Medic Droid in support of The Bunny The Bear. In a whirlwind of 14 days (I skipped out in Dallas) we traveled from Phoenix, AZ straight on through to Niagara Falls, NY and back again. It was 2 of the craziest weeks of my life, with some of the best people I have ever met.

Oh….and I guess I managed to snap some pics along the way 😉

From The Vault: Vans Warped Tour 2015

It’s A Zoo Out There!

Date: August 9, 2015
Venue: White River Amphitheatre
City: Auburn, WA
Highlight: Playing the largest game of beer pong ever during Attila’s set…without beer, while listening to Fronz make sexual innuendos about playing with balls.

The posters for this years Van’s Warped Tour are covered in a collection of animals about to bust out of a zoo, which we find fitting, because sometimes a day at Warped Tour can actually feel a lot like a day at the zoo. Think about it, you walk around checking out the “exhibits”, but instead of animals, your watching musicians, and instead of being in cages their on stages. Andddd…have you ever tried to get a hold of a bottle of water at Warped later in the day? I’d imagine being a wildebeest fighting for a spot at the local watering hole is on par as difficult.
