Lostprophets Return As New Band With Singer Geoff Rickly Formerly Of Thursday
In headlines that shocked the world The Lostprophets as we knew them died. The bands singer Ian Watkins was convicted and sentenced to 35 years in prison after admitting to multiple child sex offenses, including the attempted rape of a baby.
“What do you do as a band when you find out that your lead singer of 15 years has been sentenced to prison for such horrendous acts? You leave that sicko behind, focus on what you love, recruit a new singer, ditch your tarnished name, and do what you do best: make music.”
Former Lostprophets members have announced their official comeback WITHOUT singer, and now possibly the most hated man in the music scene, Ian Watkins. Teaming up with Geoff Rickly (formerly of the metal band Thursday) to start with a clear slate and put the past behind them comes- No Devotion. The band has already recorded two new tracks ‘Stay’ and ‘Eyeshadow’, which are both available on Itunes.
No Devotion are set to tour later this month. They will play Cardiff, Manchester, London and Glasgow between July 22 and 26.
