Yellowcard Announce Final Album & Farewell World Tour

Yellowcard have been around for what seems like eons (in technical terms that means since 1997… that’s older than some of our readers!). Almost every pop-punker out there has at least heard of Yellowcard, even the Radio Disney kids grew up on Ocean Avenue. The original line up may be long gone, but our boys now, made it- they made Yellowcard the band we love today. On June 24, 2016 the guys took to their social media to unitedly share their decision of bringing Yellowcard to and end.

“We wanted to have the chance to share our farewell with as many fans around the world as we could, and now is the right time to do just that. Putting this into words hasn’t been easy. When saying farewell, it is hard to know where to start, especially when there are so many reasons not to say it, but the time has come to share this news. After countless discussions and months of thought, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. This will be our last album and our final world tour.”

After 20 years and countless tours Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, and Josh Portman see it fit to let their music live on through one final self-titled album to be released September 30th, 2016, followed by a farewell World Tour. The album is currently available for pre-order here!

With their heartbreaking news comes a new single off the upcoming, final album. Watch it below and try not to cry as the montage of many years of love and memories plays to the the single Rest In Peace.”

Be sure to catch Yellowcard all summer as part of the Vans Warped Tour, and then in the fall on there final tour ever…
